Who is Horner Carpentry?
Horner Carpentry are a highly skilled carpentry and joinery company.
They were founded in 1982, and have a great reputation within the industry.
Offering free quotations, they can deal with both small and large projects.
What Did We Do?
Horner Carpentry approached Quillations to redesign their existing website.
We ran a free website health check on their existing site, and discovered that the site was not mobile responsive.
There was also a lack of search engine optimisation on the site which required fixing.
Quillations took the website, and condensed all of the separate pages into one, as it was not working with several “little” pages.
We linked each section with anchor links on the main menu bar, and allowed the website to flow on the 1 page.
The next thing we concentrated on was the colour scheme, which was all over the place on their existing website.
We chose colours which were complimentary to carpentry and joinery, and implemented these throughout the site.
We also noticed that their old website did not have a secure (https) connection, which was putting them down within the search engine rankings.
Quillations fixed this issue by running the website through a CDN (Content Delivery Network), which also helped improve the speed.
By adding Schema Markup and by using keyword research, we completely overhauled their SEO efforts.
